Here we are at last, Beloved,
vulnerable and naked atop this mountain
as from all directions at once
the wind whips faceless thunderhead clouds
into frightful, fearsome foes.

We’ve been climbing for lifetimes,
flying on wings of solar rays and starshine
bobbing…
