Is Anal Sex More Intimate?
One perspective on the intimacy of butt stuff
The first time I tried anal, it didn’t go great. We had been together for a while, and since I had alluded to a certain curiosity about penetrating her back door we had decided to try it. After a few drinks, with the kids in bed, we thought it was the perfect time. Lubed up, relaxed, intensely engaged with one another on many levels, I pressed against her. I don’t remember if I even made it in before she stopped me because it wasn’t feeling good.
Of course, I pulled back, cleaned off, and we made sweet sweet (vaginal) love anyway. The night was not a loss, by any stretch of the imagination. No harm was done.
Fast forward the better part of ten years and she and I are no longer together. It bears stating that our split had nothing to do with anal sex.
Having now been with a respectable handful of incredible women since that first experience, I have had the opportunity to engage in anal sex with a few who were more experienced than I, and a few others who had either never done it, or had tried but with little success.
